Multiple Churches, One Vision

Valley Life Church is built around the idea of the local community church. New disciples are taught in real relationships, both in community groups and in one-on-one mentorship. On Sundays we celebrate the work that God is doing in our community, and worship together to give God the glory that he deserves. As we raise leaders, we plant additional churches that can reach their local community.

Why North Mountain?

Valley Life | North Mountain is built around the idea of the local community church. New disciples are taught in real relationships, both in community groups and in one-on-one mentorship. The investment in disciplining others ultimately is complete when other churches are planted to reach other communities. In training volunteers to teach children, lead worship, disciple one another, etc., the hope is to raise up leaders who will impact local communities. We are not trying to make one big church, but rather a network of connected churches that minister locally.

Through this process, our long-term goal is this: Valley Life | North Mountain’s current location is in a relatively affluent neighborhood where the biggest hurdle is the presence of the prosperity gospel. This is evidenced on any Sunday morning as one drives through the neighborhood and sees priorities outside of church. People don’t have a life-changing relationship with Jesus.

The community just 2.5 miles south of us is another community without resources—still people who need Jesus. The goal is the mobilize Valley Life | North Mountain to impact the Sunnyslope community in 2 years.
